How to Create a "Green-Band" Trailer

A green-band trailer must be suitable for viewing by any audience, including children, and does not contain any material that parents would consider inappropriate for young viewers.

Here's what cannot be included in a green-band trailer:

  1. Profanity and Obscene Language: The use of harsh swear words or sexually explicit language is prohibited. Mild language may be allowed, but it must be suitable for general audiences.

  2. Nudity and Sexual Content: Any explicit sexual content or nudity is not permitted. This includes scenes that are sexually suggestive or that feature individuals in a state of undress that is not suitable for all audiences.

  3. Intense Violence: Scenes of graphic or intense violence are not allowed. While some action sequences may be permissible, they cannot include significant gore, graphic injuries, or other elements that would be disturbing to young viewers or sensitive audiences.

  4. Drug Use: Any depiction of drug use is prohibited in green-band trailers. This includes the use of illegal drugs, the abuse of legal substances, and any other drug-related content that is not appropriate for all viewers.

  5. Disturbing or Frightening Images: Extremely disturbing or frightening images that could cause distress or are not considered suitable for children are not allowed.

The goal of these restrictions is to ensure that green-band trailers can be safely viewed by people of all ages, including children, without exposing them to content that might be considered inappropriate or harmful. This system allows parents and guardians to feel confident that trailers labeled with a green band are appropriate for family viewing.
