This Privacy Policy explains how the Studio Dome mobile application (the "App") collects, uses, and protects information about you. This policy is specific to the mobile App and supplements our main Privacy Policy, which governs studiodome.com.
Who this App is for
The Studio Dome mobile App is a private business tool for filmmakers and distributors who already have a Studio Dome account. Accounts are created and managed exclusively on studiodome.com — the App does not allow new account creation or password management.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Email address — used to identify your Studio Dome account at sign-in.
- Password (if you sign in with email and password) — never stored on the device; sent over HTTPS to authenticate, then discarded.
- One-time login codes (if you sign in with the email-code option) — six-digit codes are emailed to you and verified by our server.
Information stored on your device
- API key and secret — issued by our server after a successful sign-in. Stored in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore via Expo SecureStore. Used to authenticate your subsequent requests so you do not have to sign in repeatedly.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking identifiers are collected.
Information we receive automatically
- Your Studio Dome business data — title catalog, revenue, sales, licensing status, country-level performance — is fetched from our servers when you open the App and is the same data shown on studiodome.com.
- Standard server logs — request timestamps, IP address, and the App version, retained for security and operational purposes.
How we use information
- To authenticate you and authorize access to your account data.
- To display your titles, revenue, sales pipeline, analytics, and global distribution map.
- To diagnose technical issues and protect the service from abuse.
How we share information
We do not sell your information. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us operate the service (for example, Postmark for sending login-code emails) under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- With distribution and licensing platforms when required to fulfill the licensing and revenue activities you have authorized as a Studio Dome client.
- When required by law, to comply with a valid legal process or protect rights and safety.
Data security
All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS (TLS). API credentials stored on your device are protected by the operating system's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). Server-side credentials are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for business use by adult Studio Dome account holders and is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices and rights
- Sign out — open Settings inside the App and tap "Log out" to remove the API credentials from your device.
- Update profile, change password, or close your account — these actions are performed on studiodome.com, not in the App.
- Request a copy or deletion of your data — email us at support@studiodome.com.
- Depending on your location (e.g., the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your information; contact us to exercise them.
Permissions the App requests
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, photos, or location.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
